Link’s Mission
Our main objective is to advocate, educate and elevate the LGBTQ2S+ community in Canada while also creating a safe space for folks in our community to connect on a professional level.

We recognize that our community is comprised of many diverse groups, Like any other minority group, LGBTQ2S+ persons face unique issues that the majority does not, including violence, discrimination, invisibility, and isolation.
To address these issues and many more LINK Canada seeks to foster healthy communication to improve community interactions.

Who Link Canada is
Link Canada’s mission is to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ2S+ community. Our objective is to provide a welcoming and inclusive networking opportunities and events to encourage the communities within the Industry.
We aim to do this by developing an ally network across the insurance industry to promote inclusion and diversity, provide resources and education to companies and individuals who are new to the conversation around LGBTQ2S+, and help foster and create bridges between companies with successful ERG and those looking to improve or create their own.

Participants are asked to consider the question, “Why does 2SLGBTQ+ history matter?” as they learn about the evolution of gender and sexuality in North America Moving through the decades, we discuss some of the raids, riots, legal changes and shifts.
