Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion: Link’s Unforgettable Experience at Leeds Pride 2023

In the heart of a vibrant and bustling city, where rainbows painted the streets and joyous laughter filled the air, Leeds Pride 2023 marked a celebration of love, acceptance, and unity. The Link Up North team held a pre-party at Marsh with rainbow cupcakes supplied by the fabulous The Flamboyance. The pre-pride party brought together LGBTQ+ professionals from various corners of the insurance, regulation and professional services industries.  

Embracing Diversity in the Insurance Industry

The insurance industry, like many others, has been on a transformative journey towards greater inclusivity. Link, a pioneering LGBTQ+ insurance networking group, has been at the forefront of this movement. Recognising the importance of diversity not only for its own members but also for the industry as a whole, Link has been working diligently to create a space where LGBTQ+ professionals can connect, collaborate, and thrive.

Link saw Leeds Pride 2023 as an opportunity to not only showcase their commitment to diversity but also to foster a sense of community among its members. A contingent of Link members, dressed in eye-catching t-shirts and waving flags, and banners, marched proudly through the streets of Leeds. Their presence was a visual representation of the progress that has been made in promoting LGBTQ+ inclusion in the insurance industry.

As the rainbow flags were raised high and the cheers of the crowd echoed through the streets of Leeds, it was evident that events like these are not just celebrations—they are reminders that every step toward inclusivity is a step toward a brighter, more accepting future.
