Thinking Queerly – Intersectional Allyship for LGBTQ+ and Neurodiverse People

Date: 22nd September 2021
09:00-10:00

This event will be exploring the intersections between queer identities and neurodiversity with a rare opportunity to hear directly from people who view and experience the world very differently from their straight, cis-gender and neurotypical colleagues. We’ll dig deeper into how queer neuro-diversities can be a source of great innovation for organisations, with the right support and knowledge in place, and how colleagues and peers can help create an informed, supportive working environment in which all of us can bring our whole and best selves to our jobs. We recognize the complicated history of the word “queer” and that its reclamation as a positive or even neutral term of identity isn’t universally accepted. We use queer here as an inclusive term to refer to those who fall outside of cisgender or heterosexual identities—not as a pejorative
